Girls Division Chanukah Festivities
Valley Torah Girls School had a week of festivities to celebrate Chanuka. It all began with a spirited Dreidel competition. Chanukah Chagigah and Chidon
The highlight of today’s Chanukah Chagigah (besides the shwarma, falafel and amazing dancing) was, without a doubt, the highly competitive Chidon. The excitement at the Chidon – hosted by Rabbi Biron – rivaled the best game show. Before and after the Chidon, there was lively dancing to Rabbi Moshe Samuels’ music.
Chidon Finalists
One of the highlights of the Boys Division Chankuah Chagigah is the Annual Chidon – a contest of Jewish knowledge. the finalists that will participate in the Chidon are chosen by an extensive exam. Boys Division Clubs
The Kickoff to this semester’s extra-curricular Student Club Program has been phenomenal. We now have over fifty students involved in Student Clubs. The Clubs include: Graphics Arts, Debate Team, Music, Fitness, and Chess clubs. Each of these clubs have staff mentors to advise and assist the members. New clubs are constantly being established. The Boys Division had their first shabbaton of the year in Simi Valley. The highlight was the presence of a special guest – Tamir Goodman. Simchas Beis HaShoaiva and Pre-Party
This year’s Simchas Beis HaShoiava was preceded by a pre-party in the Liberman’s backyard. In addition to swimming, basketball, football and volleyball, there were other fun and games. at 6:45 everyone transferred to the VTHS Beis Medrash and sukkah for dancing, pizza and sushi.
Back to School
Back to School also means back to fun. Our first student council event of the year included pizza, sno-cones, popcorn, a dodge ball tournament and much more.
