Rabbi Stulberger declared war! Color war!
The Blue Team represented Torah and the Red Team represented Tefilah.
The Boys Division First Annual Color War started with a paint ball trip. There were sports competitions including a dunk contest and Tug-of-War. There was a Torah-Bowl, engineering & chemistry competitions, banner contest, cheers and a video contest.
The Blue team won by a hair. And after two days of fierce competition – the boys and rebbeim celebrated with Rabbi Samuels famous achdus Chulent.
The energy was high, and the achdus even higher as the school was busy with color war.
More than the competition that was going on – sports, races, cake wars, etc – you could feel the achdus in the school with each grade working hard together to help their succeed and cheering on the other teams. The competition was intense and each team’s performance and presentations were incredible – song, dance, banner, divrei torah – the girls took color war to a whole new level. Congratulations to Team Blue, Sophomores, for winning color war by ONE point!
We completed the new Torah in memory of Mr. Sam Menlo, z”l, this Sunday afternoon. The gala celebration was attended by over 300 friends of Valley Torah.
Students, fathers, grandfathers and rebbeim gathered together for breakfast and learning today in our beis medrash for our Pre-Purim Generations Learning program.
Today’s festivities started off with a Siyum on Mesechta Sotah by Michael Arashebn.
The Siyum was followed by a gala Rosh Chodesh breakfast.
The boys were treated to a visit by the TNT Dunk Squad. Their acrobatic performance gave new meaning to ונהפוך הוא.
Getting into the Purim (Katan) spirit, STUCO once again went above and beyond with an incredible Let’s Make a Deal game. Students each came dressed in costume and were treated to an entertaining program filled with challenges, trivia, and excellent prizes for everyone. The game ended with the ultimate prize “behind door #1” a Gad Elbaz concert!!! The energy and simcha in the room was incredible and has taken us through the week!
The first voluntary night seder of the new semester was packed! Nearly 50 boys joined with their rebbeim to learn together after school. The evening concluded with dinner from Orange Delite.
The Boys Division STUCO sponsored a park day today! Basketball, baseball, soccer and super-large deli subs to top it off.
We survived the frigid weather on Friday night. The Motzaei Shabbos activities ran the gamut from a Gaga tournament to a moving kumzits.
The weather on Sunday took a turn for the awesome. We put away the scarfs and gloves, and broke out the light sweatshirts. Skiing, snowboarding and sledding were a perfect way to end the Shabbaton.
We have arrived in Running Springs. It is quite chilly, but beautiful. Gut Shabbos!
