The YU Sarachek Basketball tournament will begin tomorrow, Thursday, March 7. The first Valley Torah game will be held 5:30 PM EST (2:30 PM on the West Coast). Note that this is earlier than originally scheduled. Scores and live feed of all the games can be found at macslive.com.

Valley Torah Varsity Basketball will be playing against Shalhevet this Wednesday February 20 at 8:30 PM in the CIF Championship quarterfinals game. The game will be played at Providence High School in Burbank.

VTHS Beats Oakwood in Final Seconds
The Valley Torah Varsity Basketball team beat Oakwood in the final seconds of the game and continue on in playoff contention. The next game will be against Shalhevet, day and time TBA. Playoffs Continue
The Valley Torah Boys Varsity Basketball team won their first round playoff game vs. Lucerne Valley handily with a score of 75-49. The second playoff game is scheduled for this Motzai Shabbos, February 16 at 8:15 PM at the Oakwood School on Magnolia.
Playoffs Starting
The Valley Torah Boys Varsity Basketball team won their league championship. They are seeded #7 in Division 5A. The first playoff game is scheduled for this Wednesday, February 13 at 7:00 PM at Harvard-Westlake View the complete Division 5A bracket listing.
Award Ceremony
As part of the Rosh Chodesh Breakfast, students in each shiur were presented with awards for Achievement and Excellence in Torah and for Midos.
Rosh Chodesh Breakfast
Rosh Chodesh Adar was celebrated with a gala breakfast. The monthly Torah and Midos awards were presented to the students (see next post) and the boys were treated to a special surprise: a Mariachi Band in honor of chodesh Adar.

The ninth grade boys were treated to a shabbaton in San Diego this weekend that started with rock climbing, Shabbos on San Diego, Boomers and Sea World.
