Exciting Week at Boys Division
It was a busy and exciting week at the Boys Division: We had Tu B’shvat fruit carts, The Boys Division Varsity basketball team won its first round playoff game 75-59, and Thursday was a ski day.
Playoffs Begin

Playoff Brackets Announced
Valley Torah Varsity basketball ended the season at 23-3 and the Heritage League champions. The CIF just released the brackets for the playoffs.
Boys Division Alumni in Israel
Rabbis Stulberger, Biron, Grama and Segal, and Mr. Kleinman, all visited Israel over vacation. They joined our Alumni Dinner and visited the yeshivos.
Rabbi Stulberger at Melave Malka in CCJ
Rabbi Stulberger (and Rabbi Segal) are in Israel this week visiting our alumni in yeshivos and seminaries. This Motzaei Shabbos, Rabbi Stulberger gave a vaad at the Chofetz Chaim Jerusalem melave malka. See Rabbi Stulberger’s complete Israel itinerary at the VTHS.org post.
Boys Winter Shabbaton 5783
The Boys Division spent this Shabbos in Running Springs. There was a light covering of snow, but the weather was perfect. The meals, singing and Shabbos ruach were extraordinary as well.
Chanukah 5783 at the Boys Division
The boys gathered in the evening at Shaarey Zedek for an extravagant Chanukah meal catered by Lenny’s Casitas. There were raffles and dancing. First Semester awards were given out by shiur. The evening ended with our amazing game show hosted by the one and only Rabbi Biron.
Generations Learning
Are boys joined with their fathers. grandfathers and brothers for Shacharis, breakfast and learning in preparations for Chanukah. Have a freilechen Chanukah!
Freshman Trip Day
The ninth grade boys spent Thursday out and about on their “Trip Day.” After Gemara shiur they left for Gol Soccer Center (I spelled it correctly). They broke into four teams. Rabbi Grama receives his Milken Family Jewish Educator Award at their Annual Luncheon this week.
Boys Runbelievable
It was perfect weather for our Runbelievable 10K run. Many of the rebbeim participated (although some chose the 5K option).
IDF Heroes
Two IDF heroes that were injured in combat spoke to the students today. They told their story of fighting for Eretz Yisroel, how they were injured, and about the long recovery time. Baruch Hashem they are now married with children and leading successful lives despite their extensive injuries.
Shabbos Shuva Melave Malka
This was a busy weekend. We started with a Friday Night Oneg at Rabbi Striks’ home and concluded with a heart-felt Melave Malka at the home af Rabbi Semmel. The lively singing and feelings of friendship were a great start to the new school year.
