The VTHS Girls Division had a wonderful afternoon of inspiration on Thursday at our pre-Yom Kippur Yom Iyun. They heard words of chizuk from both Rabbis Horowitz and Makjesky, and participated in many fun filled and educational activities planned by our Director of Student Activities, Mrs. Shira Pollack.

Kinus Teshuva Wrap-up

Back to School also means back to fun. Our first student council event of the year included pizza, sno-cones, popcorn, a dodge ball tournament and much more.
Kinus Teshuva
Rabbi Mordechai Shifman (Head of School, Emek Hebrew Academy) and Rabbi Avrohom Stulberger (Dean & Rosh HaYeshiva, VTHS) will be speaking at a Kinus Teshuva Monday, September 9 in the VTHS Chandler Campus Beis Medrash. Program begins at 8:00 PM and Maariv will begin at 9:00 PM.

Team Building
As part of the Teacher’s Orientation, our staff participated in Team Building Exercises in Simi Valley. Here is a picture of the male staff members (the female staff members were camera shy).
Freshmen Bowling and Pizza
After today’s Orientation, the freshmen were treated to bowling (seems that none of them could beat Rabbi Grama’s score) and pizza. Everyone is looking forward to the first day of school on Wednesday.
