At the beginning of the year, forty Valley Torah boys signed up for the ALIVE program. They had social media removed from their phones and filters installed. They could truly be ALIVE.
Starting this Sunday evening – almost an entire school year later – those boys are being treated to a four day whirlwind tour of New York City.
After deplaning from their red-eye flight, they went straight to the Mevakshei Hashem Shul in Five Towns where they davened and met with Rabbi Zakutinsky. From there on to a NY breakfast at Dunkin’ Donuts. An LIRR train whisked them away to Penn Station where they were treated to a tour of Madison Square Garden, the view of Manhattan from Edge NYC and another NY restaurant meal. That’s just day one.
