The highlight of today’s Chanukah Chagigah (besides the shwarma, falafel and amazing dancing) was, without a doubt, the highly competitive Chidon. The excitement at the Chidon – hosted by Rabbi Biron – rivaled the best game show. Before and after the Chidon, there was lively dancing to Rabbi Moshe Samuels’ music.
The Boys Division had their first shabbaton of the year in Simi Valley. The highlight was the presence of a special guest – Tamir Goodman. This year’s Simchas Beis HaShoiava was preceded by a pre-party in the Liberman’s backyard. In addition to swimming, basketball, football and volleyball, there were other fun and games. at 6:45 everyone transferred to the VTHS Beis Medrash and sukkah for dancing, pizza and sushi.
After today’s Orientation, the freshmen were treated to bowling (seems that none of them could beat Rabbi Grama’s score) and pizza. Everyone is looking forward to the first day of school on Wednesday.
The consensus opinion is that the VTHS Trustees Dinner 2013 was the best Trustees Dinner ever! The venue (the Liberman’s Backyard) was gorgeous. The tables were set beautifully.
