Construction is nearing completion on our new Boys Division Recreation area.
Here is a short tour of the grounds:
The volleyball court is at the back of the new Recreation Area (the brown colored cement is the running track that surrounds the entire area).
In between the volleyball court and the basketball court is the picnic area. We still need delivery of the picnic tables and chairs.
The basketball court comes next. We are still waiting for benches and two sets of bleachers.
At the very front of the Recreation Area is the workout space. We are installing 15 pieces of workout equipment similar to the ones found at LA parks.
There is still street and sidewalk work that needs to be done at the front of the property. Hopefully, you will be receiving an invitation for ethics’s grand opening very soon.
600 of Valley Torah’s closest friends attend our Annual Dinner this week. Many more couldn’t make it that night. But, they placed an ad in out Digital Journal. You can see all the ads below.

We arrived in Angelus Oaks (near Big Bear) Thursday night to an icy chill. The warmth of Shabbos had not yet taken effect – we had to compensate with a campfire.
We woke early on Thursday for skiing and snow tubing. We returned early in the afternoon to prepare for Shabbos. Pre-Shabbos potato kugel (a new taste to some of our Sephardic students) hit the spot, and we were ready for Shabbos. Moshe Storch led Kabbolas Shabbos – and the dancing. The Shabbos seudah was ruach-filled and was followed by pyramid and numbers games. The Oneg Shabbos – once again led by Moshe Storch – lasted late into the night. The highlight of the Shabbos was, without a doubt, the seudah shlishis. Moshe Storch and the rebbeim led the emotional singing as we watched the sun set behind the mountains.
Motzaei Shabbos started with laser tag in the woods and football. The melave malka entertainment – Mentalist Marc Salem – left everyone awestruck.
We left for home soon after breakfast and arrived safely at about 1:00 PM.
VTHS Varsity Basketball beat Milken 70-68 to grab third place in the tournament. Max Leibowitz and Ryan Turell were chosen to the All Tournament Team.
