We are saddened to inform you of the passing of Mrs. Sonia Loffman a”h. The levaya will take place on Sunday, September 29, 12:30 PM at Shaarey Zedek Congregation. The interment will follow at Eden Cemetery.
Our condolences to her husband, Dr. Morris Loffman, her children Dr. Lisa Lintz, Dr. Rina Felman, Clark Loffman (’81), Scott Loffman (’83) and her family (which include many other VTHS alumni).
Shiva will be held at 5145 Bellaire Ave.

- Mincha on Friday: 2:30 PM

Simchas Beis HaShoaiva and Pre-Party
This year’s Simchas Beis HaShoiava was preceded by a pre-party in the Liberman’s backyard. In addition to swimming, basketball, football and volleyball, there were other fun and games. at 6:45 everyone transferred to the VTHS Beis Medrash and sukkah for dancing, pizza and sushi.
Pre-Yom Kippur Yom Iyun
The VTHS Girls Division had a wonderful afternoon of inspiration on Thursday at our pre-Yom Kippur Yom Iyun. They heard words of chizuk from both Rabbis Horowitz and Makjesky, and participated in many fun filled and educational activities planned by our Director of Student Activities, Mrs. Shira Pollack.

Alumnus Has to Fight for Yom Tov
It took a lawsuit for Hillel Rodin (’03) to get the Dallas County Community College District to allow him time off for Rosh HaShana. But, at the last minute, they came to an agreement.
