VTHS Girls Nearly Sweep Art Contest (again)
Once again the students in Mrs. Harris’ Visual Art class have placed as winners in the international Graceful Envelope Contest. Impartial judges from the postal, calligraphic and arts communities selected the winning envelopes in June 2011. Among the criteria the judges considered were: artistic hand lettering; interpretation of the contest theme (“Time Flies”); effective use of color and design; integration of postage into the design; and the overall creative transformation of an ordinary envelope into a work of art.
